Director of LOX Performance
Nick Soto

Nick Soto, the Director of Performance and Sports Science at the League of Excellence, and the strength and conditioning Director for the MSA War Eagles. He played collegiate football at Tusculum College and was an Olympic hopeful in Tae Kwon Do. After multiple injuries kept him from continuing his sports endeavors, he pointed his focus towards helping other athletes achieve their goals. He received his Master of Science in Kinesiology from AT Still University, with a focus on Sports Performance Training.

Since then Nick has worked with numerous athletes and teams in various sports. This includes Football, Track and Field, Baseball, Rowing, Boxing, Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, Volleyball, and Wrestling. 

Nick Soto is an elite speed specialist. He has worked closely with numerous professional athletes on improving speed, and has done consulting work on speed performance for various sports programs of all levels. He is highly proficient in sprinting techniques and sprinting biomechanics, as well as the physiological requirements of running fast.

Over the last decade Nick's popularity has grown in the baseball world. He is best known as Manny Machado's performance coach, and has consulted with professional and collegiate baseball teams for baseball specific strength and performance training. His training methods have been identified as key factors in players gaining 5 to 10 miles per hour on their fast ball and just as much on their exit velocity off bat. 

Some of Nicks notable athletes include Manny Machado, Akiem Hicks, Nolan Carroll, John Brown, Yonder Alonso, Denzel Perryman, Alvin Kamara, Mike Hames, Antrel Rolle, DOminique Easley, Eddy Alvarez, Darryl Sharpton, Joan Guzman, Gus Edwards, Collin McCarthy, Jamal Carter, Rashad Smith, Harrison Bryant, Roman Gonzalez, John Raine, among many others.

Soto has run various NFL Combine Prep Camps as well. Today, he is known as a top speed and power development specialist. Local teams train under his tutelage year round, and individual athletes come from around the nation to train with him to develop their speed and explosive power. Currently, LOX Performance has become a world leader in developing exit velo, and pitching velocity in baseball with Nick's power program.

In track and Field, Nick has produced some of the fastest 100, 200, and 400 meter femal sprinters in Florida High School history. His current group of female sprinters are consistently breaking meet records and posting national best times for the year

Manager of Performance

Our Advanced athlete program has a special program for Volleyball players led by Coach Paige Beck!

Paige Beck is the Manager of Performance and sports performance coach. She played collegiate Division 1 volleyball at the University at Buffalo where she received her B.S. in Exercise Science with a concentration in applied exercise physiology and minor in nutrition. After hanging up the jersey, she has shifted towards coaching, learning under her own college performance staff and our own, Coach Soto. She is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Sports Management with a concentration in High Performance Coaching. 

Paige currently assists Coach Nick Soto in training youth to professional athletes in sports such as baseball, football, wrestling, track and more. She runs her own volleyball program at the Lox under the advanced athletes program as well. 

Assistant Coach Soloman Frikman

Soloman is currently a student at FIU, pursuing a doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. He played high school basketball at Coral Reef Senior High, and later was given the opportunity to play college basketball at Ave Maria University. His focus is youth development but also heavily focused on the older guys from high school to pro-level athletes. "Grinding and training to be the best version yourself is where passion lies".

Soloman is an extremely gifted and intelligent coach. He is often praised for his ability to modify any workout around injuries. As a LOX Coach he understands his role in molding young athletes to work hard and push themselves beyond what they may think they can handle.
